Our Campaigns

Drawdown Eugene:

Please join us in the Drawdown Eugene campaign as we advocate for successful planning, completion and adoption of the City of Eugene’s Climate Action Plan 2.0.

Contact: drawdown@350eugene.org

Fracked Gas Resistance:

Oregonians are being threatened by the Jordan Cove Energy Project. Pembina, a Canadian corporation, wants to build a 230-mile fracked gas pipeline across over 500 waterways and private farms and tribal lands in Southern Oregon, and an export terminal in Coos Bay to liquefy the gas and ship it to Asia. Our coalition of community members say NO!

Our monthly meetings are on hold due to Covid-19 until further notice.

Oregon Climate Action Plan (OCAP):

In March 2020, Governor Kate Brown signed a sweeping action to address the climate crisis, Executive Order 20-04 the Oregon Climate Action Plan (OCAP).  It’s a sector by sector approach for Oregon to transition away from dirty energy that puts carbon, sulfur, and arsenic in our air and water and puts the future of our kids and grandkids at risk, to a clean energy economy .

Forest Defense is Climate Defense Alliance:

350 Eugene is participating in this West Coast alliance to advocate for healthy, old-growth forests as our best means of sequestering and storing carbon from our atmosphere.  To learn more, click on the picture.

Resilience & Regeneration:

350 Eugene’s Resilience-Regeneration work group provides resources to nurture resilience in response to the climate crisis.  To see a wide array of resources we find valuable, please click on the picture.

Electric Transportation Action Group (E-TAG):

We work on the state, county, and city levels with electric transportation issues. Our members inform our local utilities about the coming demands for electricity for EV buses, garbage trucks and other service type vehicles. We promote public awareness of where to purchase used EVs and when the public can come to “see and drive” events.

We are currently meeting once a month by zoom and you are welcome to join us! Contact: e-tag@350eugene.org

Fossil Free Eugene:

350 Eugene is part of a new coalition of grassroots organizations in Eugene working to get the city off of “natural” fracked gas. Our Drawdown campaign laid a lot of the groundwork for this coalition, and now with the NW Natural Franchise Agreement being decided in May, it’s time to be bold!

Climate Revolutions by Bike:

Formed by a group of concerned citizens and cycling enthusiasts in Eugene, Oregon, in March 2019, Climate Revolutions is a grassroots advocacy campaign.

We believe that we need to increase the number of everyday cyclists radically, in order to reach Eugene’s climate action goals, and help to cut carbon levels quickly and deeply.

We have a revolutionary vision of more bikes than cars on the streets – every day! We need everyone’s help to reach that vision – youths, families, older adults – all of us!

Campaigns on hold due to Covid-19:

Many of our campaigns have been in “low power mode” due to the Covid-19 social distancing recommendations.  You are welcome to contact these campaigns by email to learn more about their status at this time.

Today’s Insight:

“Go faster, because this is all about pace, and root your efforts in justice, because that’s both right and effective. The battle is not just to swap out coal for sun; it’s to swap out a poisoned and unfair world for one that works for everyone, now and in the future. On we go.” – Bill McKibben
